Art Week
All children were heavily involved in and exciting week of art activities. The work produced was really exciting and original. The level of co-operation was also rewarding. The art work is now on display around the school and each child had a framed and mounted piece of art displayed in the exhibition on May 10th 2006.

Harry Payne's 100th Birthday
During art week each class made Harry a birthday card and the Year 2s a banner. Red Class and Music Club then went to St George Nursing Home on the great day, 27th April 2006, to sing and read stories to him. Harry is the oldest known former pupil of the school and was interviewed by the children last year as part of the school's centenary celebrations. He featured in the centenary animations and the children are very fond of him.

We were very sad to hear that Harry died on September 2nd 2006, after a short illness.
School Centenary Celebration - July 2005
The centenary was celebrated in many ways. Perhaps the most memorable ways were the visit of the Churchill Balloon, the largest shaped balloon in Europe........

.....and the beautiful stained glass window, commissioned by the Friends Association, which is a lasting reminder in the school hall.
